Gidday all. Hoping someone might know about this ute I just bought. It has "SVD Special Vehicle Department" badges on both guards, tailgate and inside of doors on the cards. It looks fairly standard but has red pin striping like the "s". It's a 6 and does have Monroes on the back but they look after market. Anyone know anything about this model? Thanks

Sounds like another HSV wanna bee. There were many companies around (Holden dealers included) making marketing specials, to compete with 'real' HSV models.

In Sydney there was SSV (Sydney Special Vehicles) & I'm sure there were plenty of other in other states. Anyone remember CSV?

Back in the 80s we had CDT to compete against HDT.

What I'm getting at is that it's not a genuine Holden model.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

So I have nothing more than a sock down the pants, looks like it might be exciting but at the end of the day it will disappoint! Thanks for the input, I really didn't expect it to be rare as rocking horse s***, but I thought it may have some good bits!
