All VQ stuff will work. Hopefully Commodorenut will see this and tell you which K-frame and steering rack to use too. I think from memory you might even be able to use one of the later fuel tanks with intank pump.

Use a VL-VS V8 K-frame. If it's a VQ series 1, use the steering rack too, otherwise grab one from a VN V6.
To link it together, you need the intermediate shaft that goes between the column & rack, from a VL with power steer (6 or V8, doesn't matter, just a basic VL with power steer).
This combo will give you much more room in the engine bay, and allow you to use standard VN V8 power steering hoses. The VK suspension arms bolt straight up to it.

All later VN/VQ-VS sedan tanks fit, as long as you have the matching straps from a live axle sedan (centre strap in an IRS car is different where it bolts up near the diff centre). You need to remove the filler neck from the rubber joiner & cut about 40mm off it. Test measure it to the car first, as some seem to need only 25mm cut, while others have needed up to 50mm. I think the variation is in the evolution of the tanks, and how long the metal pipe is. The rubber joiner gives you quite a bit of leeway to move, so accuracy isn't critical.
You will also need to add one of the fuel lines from the VQ (I like to use the supply line) as the EFI needs a return (so I'd use the old VK supply line as the return - just unhook it from the chassis rail tabs up front, and bend it to run up the firewall like the VQ lines).
Cheers,

Mick
