We have been looking for a 4 pinion LSD centre to be used in a VN Commodore diff and someone has offered to sell us a centre from a 302 powered ZJ Fairlaine.
I'm only assuming that manufacturers fit the 4 pinion heavy duty diffs into cars which have a large amount of torque or utes & panelvans which may be used to carry heavy loads.
I know Holden use their 4 pinion centre in their bigger six (Holden V6) and all their V8's,I have heard the only Ford V8 which came out with 4 pinion diff up to the EB's at least was the 351 Cleveland powered car.
Is this true?
Or does the centre also come from a 302 Windsor powered car as well?
Any info will he helpful.

A ZJ centre does fit into a Commodore diff only that a spacer is needed as the higher 2.77:1 ratio means the offset with the hemispheres are further to the left (away from the pinion) due to the larger pinion in the Fairlaine diff.
All I need to know is

I believe that only the 351 powered XD/ZJ/FC & XE/ZK/FD's had the 4 pinion centre but as theyb are now ~20 years old some parts swapping may have been done.
