on a gts hq 2dr,when i take off the park brake,the light on the dash still stays on red,any help would be great.thanks

Had similar problem in ute. Handbrake is ratchet style mounted beside door (pull on then drops back down again so you can get in and out). There is a button at the opposite end to the release button with a wire on it which earths when the ratchet mechan |

Hi GTS082,
Jabba is half right.
There are 2 systems on a HQ. I wanted to check b4 I replied. The first is the handbrake. The second is the switch assy on the master cylinder. Thats the buff/grey cable wrapped around the steel hoses of your brake sys

The sender switch can be reset. It may not need replacement. Its in the HQ manual set. If you dont have the 5 manual set...go get it from ebay.

sorry,the petrol sender,is what i should have said,ever since i replaced the drop tank with a standard tank brought a second hand sender its always been wrong,it drives me crazy cause you dont know how much fuel left.thanks.

Gts082, I have had the same problem on my Tunna after I changed the brake fluid and bleed the system, I removed the switch on the master cylinder, and reset the proportining slide by pumping the brakes a couple of times until the little recess in the sl

Had the same problem in the Torana.
The mechanic told me if it ever happens again just remove the switch from the proportioning valve and then replace it.
It should automatically reset.
