help please all knowledgable! have fitted an original internittent (dwell) wiper control and relay to a WB van ... connected the wires according to the wiring diagram from a Gregory's manual ... and keep blowing fuses. I know Holdenute has had this happen, but he's had no replies! can anyone solve this mystery? cheers, f.

well, its not blowing fuses anymore, and although the wipers are working normally from the stalk, they are not working from the dwell switch, even though you can hear the relay clicking spasmodically ...

I've had plenty of these actually working in cars when I've bought them, but I've never been able to retrofit one and make it work. As I'm an Electrical Engineer and play with/fix electrical stuff for a living I HATE doing it at home, and as such I have j |

hi Byron many thanks for this, muchly appreciated. yes, it appears to be the relay, its clicking at (l-o-n-g) set intervals regardless of where the dash knob is turned ... so will try to prise it apart!
One more question ... where does the relay at

The one that came out of the WB was on a bracket over near the radio, but most HJ-HZ seem to be mounted just above your right foot near to the blinker relay, above the kick panel. |
