g'day all.new user here.
i've just bought an original tuxedo black hx monaro and i was told where the blackouts would normally be that it was done in gold.can anyone confirm or not and would like to see a pics if anyone has one.i would like to bring back to original.

Yes I can confirm theyare gold outs instead of black outs. No pics unfortunately, but do remember seeing one on a news shot 15 years ago.

I wonder if they are a 578 satin finish like the black on most lower body stuff on other colours and vehicles? If it is gold it will probably be a solid too otherwise they'd have to have clear over the gold which wouldn't work too well with solid Tuxedo.

I'd leave it all black, I reckon HX GTS and LX SLR5000 look gay-ish with that big lettering on the side.

yeah, you might be right.maybe a lighter shade of grey,black charcoal or similar.food for thought.
