Can anyone conirm the HQ range curb weight?
Online sources give the HQ range a weight of about 3200 pounds. Add 90 for a V8, & 130 for a wagon.
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

Which HQ? They vary hugely from a 6cyl cab chassis through to an L30 optioned Deville.

GTS 350 coupe with AC. That would be the closest to my Skylark.

I'm trying to match HQ springs to the Skylark.

I've got an HQ GTS coupe @ 3134 lb, then add 150 lb for the 350 add ons. Add ??? For factory A/C plus TH400 (if fitted).

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thanks Dr Terry. I've got a range of HQ weights to play with.
Now to put the Skylark over the weighbridge & see what it weighs, then go from there.

Cheers,

Chris

Ben/Warren list the 1971 GTS350 as 3288lb. The difference between this and Dr Terry's may just be a definition difference. Features manuals list the Curb weight as shipping weight plus water and full tank of fuel. Not sure what definition of weight Ben used in the Monaro bible though.

In HJ integrated A/C adds 41kg (90lb) which will be very close to HQ.
In HJ TH400 adds 43kg (95lb) over M21 4spd. Not certain how close HQ MC7 and HJ M21 are in weight but they'll be reasonably close as the aussie 4spd has a cast iron case whereas the HQ MC7 is full alloy but heavier internals.

Thank you for all your replies. I'm getting a figure of 3400 pounds,
give or take.

Thats accurate enough for my purposes. Now to weigh the Skylark
& see how it compares.

Cheers,

Chris
