hi all
been having problems with the falcon over heating, for 3 months now

had RAC check it out they replaced the thermostat, did teekay test and check fans all good

since then have replaced with new copper rad, 2 weeks back new water pump and still dumping fluid out off the surge tank, motors all good dont put in oil between changes, new exhaust system 12 months back. Done 200,000km, got RAC to check again for combustion gas in coolant ,said ok still suspect head problems . anyone help please

How old is your bottom radiator hose?

Over time the anti collapse spring corrodes away and the bottom hose will suck into a blockage at road speeds.

Also is it merely a leaking radiator cap?

Sounds as if you have already covered the other bases.

thanks jim will have a look at the hose has been on since had car ,i think RAC did check the rad cap but will change it
