heyaz,
Just sumthing that is anoying me a little with my 6cycl ZK Fairlane-the temp guage moves quite a lot while i drive it. when i start it, its cold obviously, but as i drive it, it gets to about half on the guage, and will hold there mostly, but if i try to play with the heating/cooling controls (ie cold to even the slightest bit towards warm) the needle moves instantly up intot he hot part of the guage but then drops again.
If i leave the heater controls as they are, the needle will still swing hot to cold regularly.
(hope that made sence.. lol)

Its not the water pump-as i fitted a new one a month or so back, its not the thermostat coz i changed that with the water pump, coolant was changed then too. it now has new hoses on it again with new coolant and the systen including heater box has been flushed...

Would anyone happen to have any udea as to why my car is doign this?

thanks for any help-appreciated

sound like the gauge to me(a voltage problem),they have been known to fag out.if you dont mind not having a totaly original car id go for a autometer/spitfire etc temp gauge,or if you like the original look get another gauge.you could try an auto electric

Hi, As tuff 250 said it could be a gauge. I'd also check the basics around wiring/earthing etc. The sensor wouldn't a bad place to look either as this could potentially give you the erratic signals that you described. Good luck.
