I have heard that using an AC Delco ECU is the go. Seen harnesses on Ebay to do the job.

Jason

Will be interested to see how you go with this. I have considered EFI for my 307. I put a MassFlo system on a 302 and it was a breeze. It was a replacement for the *church organ* plenum style EFI from the mid to late 80s

have found a very helpful bloke on ebay who is in QLD.does a complete MAF system for $1250 or MAP system for $1595.pretty much plug & play.

got this reply over on oldholden= "when buying a TPI there is a cut off year and a difference, the early type block and the center stud bolt tapper cover type and BOTH are different. rember to BUY COMPLETE or you will have headache (like i did ) i run a 88 corvette chip. WHY ? there no prom and anty theth to reprogram. just hook up plug in and start. easy as that"

I think he is thinking you are going to use a Gen II engine. Just be wary of the angles of the bolts in the heads either side of the EGR port, some of the TPI setups are off cars with these bolts at different angles thus they don't fit straight onto early heads. Also be wary of clearance between the rocker cover inner bolts and the TPI runners, I think that is why they have centre bolts in the TPI rockers. The guy in QLD will know though.

thanks for the advice hk1837,i`m aware of the bolt angles you are refering to.the above quote is from a guy running an older type 350 in a hj.

the fella in QLD has all my car`s details, including engine year, & has advised that a MAF system would be the best set up for me
