I thought torry's and kingswoods rims fit each other. I tried fitting my GTS rims on my LH but they were a different stud pattern. Is there a way to make them fit with a adapter or by changing hubs/axles?.....also do commodore rims fit toranas? Cheers Edited by user Tuesday, 17 May 2005 11:34:16 PM(UTC)

To get genuine HQ GTS rims 600JK or 600JJ to fit the torrie, you'll need HQ axles. The distance between each wheel stud is different on the HQ and LH. You will also have the same problem with the Commodore. They might fit, but they will damage your studs.

Im not 100% myself but,the GTS style of wheel you see on toranas are A9Xs.A9X have a different floor pan to the LH/LX.the A9X had a disc rear end.the Standard SL/Rs are the same stud patteren as the LC/LJ. 6cyl had a 13 inch wheel and V8 had 14 inch wheel

6 and V8 Torries use the 4¼" (107.95mm) PCD (same as FX - HG but with a different offset to the earlier models), HQ - WB use 4¾" (120.65 mm) PCD and Commodores use 120 mm PCD for the stud patterns. With the single exception of the A9X Torries, they all Edited by user Wednesday, 18 May 2005 3:20:39 AM(UTC)

Any differential or engineering place should be able to change your stud pattern for you. Check with a diff place that advertises a diff conversion service. But, before you spend ANY money, go to a mag wheel retailer and check their book on offsets to Edited by user Wednesday, 18 May 2005 3:31:21 AM(UTC)

L34 Toranas were the first to use GTS style rims, which had a different offset. These rims were made in house by Holden. The L34 used a banjo diff (same as all other LH's) but had HQ stud pattern and flange on the end. The front brakes were HJ with HJ cas Edited by user Wednesday, 18 May 2005 3:48:24 AM(UTC)

Hi Byron,
Are you sure about the L34's running GTS wheels? I always understood that they used normal 6" Torrie wheels or were the GTS/normal wheels an option?
Cheers...Dave

Hi Guys.
Byron is correct, the L34 & the A9X both used the GTS 'Rally' 5-spoke steel wheel with a different offset to the HQ-HZ. The GTS Rally wheel is orignally from Pontaic, over there they are available in 14" & 15" diameter. Also in the UK the Vaux |

Thanks Dr Terry. My Torana memory is a little more vague than I remember!
I know about the 14" and 15" Pontiac Rallye wheels but never knew there was a 13" version (although some of the early, pre SD1, Rover mags looked very similar). If I had an LJ ag

48/215 and FJ are definitely different, and 15 inch if I remember correctly. The wheels and hubs look like early VW, but 5-stud.
There are a few different HK-HG wheels:
HK 5 inch. HK 6 inch (two subsets - spot welded and spot welded plus welded).

Hi Byron,
The book is the reference one that all wheel/tyre retailers use to make sure the mags they sell you will fit on your car. I don't know who publishes it, though I assume it would be done by the Mag Wheel manufacturer's association or the Autom

My LX A9X notes/manual tells me the following re GTS rims: Bolt pitch 4.75" * rims size 6.00JJx14 * offset -0.25" Sure sounds like a GTS rim. Cheers John

Hi John, I think the HQ - HZ GTS rims had the same offset as normal HQ - WB wheels (i.e. -1.25") so that would make the track measurement with the Torry version -2" compared to the HQ version...hmmmmm... Cheers...Dave Edited by user Wednesday, 18 May 2005 10:34:04 AM(UTC)

The slotted HT/HG rims look exactly like a normal 6 inch HT/HG rims, but have slots cut in the perimeter of the centre. The slots are almost the same size and position as the HK, but the actual centre is a HT/HG one. The rims are also a lot lighter than a |

If you want an easy source of 14 or 15 inch wheels for your Torana then Volvo 2 series wheels fit straight on.
Discussing HT/HG wheels I have one wheel that is different from all HK-HG wheels that I have ever seen. It looks HT/HG at first (no slots |

Byron,
I had better check my stock of rims. See what I have. I wonder why they used a JK rim on and A9X not a JJ rim ? How odd.
For those that dont know a JK rim has one safety bead, the JJ has 2 safety beads. The beads (raided edges) actually hold
