Can you send me a picture of the body plate? Is it definitely 100 for the insert code? Do you have paperwork that shows the vehicle details ie mechanical options, and possibly shows the package code?

I got the above info from the owners hand book + letter from Preston motors & the tags fitted, cant take a pic & post - too hard on this site, However i can confirm the following apon closer inspection:

Insert = 160

Body = HR225MR - 48420M

Stamped on firewall = HR 45205 M

Hope that helps?

Thanks....

All HR Special sedans have the wide bright moulding under the rear window, It's not exclusive to Premier.

It's a reasonable bet that both the heater & the radio are dealer-fitted, not factory-fitted. They are 'factory' items, meaning that they are genuine GM-H/Nasco product, but they are not fitted at the factory.

It was possible to order these items from the factory, but the dealer would usually shy away from that, because the extra waiting time could cause the sale to fall over. There would have been plenty of manual Special sedans with drum brakes in dealer stock, so why wait. Get the car in, fit the accessories & the job's done.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

160 makes a lot more sense.
