Hi All,
Someone has posted on Facebook a picture of a wheel that looks like a HT or HG wheel and has the correct stud pattern except that it has four extra slots that look like the slots in HK wheels except that there are four not eight slots.

Can anyone debunk this mystery wheel for us?

A picture would be nice, or at least a link!. Is it 14" x 5" or 6"?

In the absence of this, to narrow it down, anything pre HQ, including HKTG will be a PCD of 4.24" (NOT 4.25"!) Good luck measuring it without the right setup!
If it's a standard Holden wheel there will be a stamping, usually near the valve stem hole on the inside of the rim, something like the picture below., which will have the relevant information, and the date code.

If it meets the PCD requirement of 4.24":-

If it says 5J X 14, its probably standard HK.
If it says 5 or 6 x JJ 14 it will probably be HT or HG. The HT and HG had the double safety hump (JJ) style rims as standard.

The standard 5 x JJ 14 HT rim also has four slots, where the centre meets the rim.

The offsets may also help identify it. HT 5" is 1.9", and 6" is 1.06".

There has recently been quite a bit of mucking around with people putting new rims on standard HK centres to produce other sizes and combinations, but the rim stamping should expose this sort of thing.

Possibly, if it wasn't on Facebook but somewhere where people with such knowledge might be.
