Hi one and all,
I am trying to sell an LC Torana for a mate. Some of the lookers have questioned no Vin.No. stamped on the chassis. As far as I knew the Vin.No. was on a plate rivited to the front radiator support. Can anyone confirm this?
Anyway there is a plate there and if that is the VIN can someone please decipher the code for me.
If this is the VIN, I've found
8 = GMH
I think 2311C = LC Torana S Coupe
H1 = Brisbane plant
but 85984 seems too big to be the number produced.
Any help would be much appreciated.

LC has a chassis number on the rails, not a VIN number.
H185984 is an LC S 2 door sedan completed on 24/2/71 with 1256cc 4cyl, 4spd and front drums. |
