G'day All,
Could somebody please tell me which gears are the right ones for my tonner, with a M22 and 4.44 diff ratio?

My answer to that would be that it isn't important that there be zero (or even minimal) lash in the gears as they are not under much pressure and your speedo won't indicate an occasional drop in revs of the cable unless it is extreme. Back again...
OK, had a look in the 4 speed section of my HX PArts Book. For a 4 speed tonner with 4.44 diff, you need a Green (21 tooth) Driven gear. The HX Parts Book doesn't list a colour, but there is a specific drive gear for an Aussie box hooked

Genuine Holden speedo gears are still available, just tell them what g/box and diff ratio you have and they will sort you out. I did this recently replacing my 3.55 with a 3.08. Cost you about 5 bucks. I was also confused because the diff gears looked
