Hi all Continuing the restoration of my car and i want to bring the engine bay back to original by filling the incorrect holes. Does anyone have good photos of a 69 HT 308/2 speed engine bay primarily inner subframe sides and firewall ?
Thanks

Hi Devo here is a photo I've been using as a reference while restoring my car. Not sure if the photo is 69 or 70, one of the gurus here on the forum might know. Cheers Kev

Thanks mate that helps a bit. I have too many holes in my inner tubs. I know I need 2 for the drivers side ( washer and headlight loom) but unsure of others.

I have a shot of the engine bay firewall with the holes described if you would like it. Here goes: 1. Clutch master cylinder 2. Handbrake handle 3. Handbrake cable + rubber boot 4. Wiper motor 5. Speedo cable 6. Red cable from alternator to ammeter 7. Engine wiring plug 8. Accelerator linkage mount 9. Blanked by a 1/4 -20 phillips head screw. Used for 6 cylinder throttle linkage pivot. Refer page 114 of the HT parts catalogue 10. Blanked by a 1/4 -20 phillips head screw. Used for 6 cylinder throttle linkage pivot. Refer page 114 of the HT parts catalogue 11. Heater control cable 12. Interior dash blanket plug 13. Holes above brake booster other end of accelerator linkage 14. ? 15. ? 16. ? 17. ? 18. ? 19. ? 20. ? 21. ? Happy for others to fill in the blanks. Cheers Jacko Edited by user Saturday, 21 May 2016 8:15:34 PM(UTC)

Cheers Kev Nice reference photo but is that a HK style heater tap? Maybe a Holden mockup photo prior to HT 308 release. Noticed it doesn't have master cylinder fitted as yet.. I have a heap of 308 HTG reference photo's if needed.. From cars in recent years, though some are not exactly correct. Jim |

Here's a shot of a NOS HG inner skirt and rail, the only difference with a HT should be an extra hole for the brake fail switch near the brake booster for HG only. Also the HT has an extra small hole under the washer bottle for a supporting clip. Cheers Kev

OK that helps thanks. Looks like 3 holes visible . 2 for the washer tube and 1 down low for fuel line clip.
Plus the washer clip you mention looks like it for the drivers side
Any clear photos out there for the passenger side ???

There's a NOS LHS inner skirt on eBay at the moment, the pictures on the ad might help http://www.ebay.com.au/i...-HK-HT-HG-/172107164663

The two pictures below may help. These are for a Dandenong HT.

Cheers Jacko Number 3 (if it is the one in the column support) is for mechanical clutch rod (in HT means all manuals other than Saginaw) or rubber boot if hole present and no mechanical clutch mech. Number 5 is only speedo cable for M21, M22 transmissions or for V8 M35. It is not there for M15, M20, M40 or 6cyl M35 transmissions. |

nice, mine is a v8 Saginaw, hence the rubber boot and speedo references. I will update my list.

Bump Any further views on the firewall holes?
I added a 23 to reflect the correct handbrake cable location down and to the left of 20. 19 is a PO fuel canister add-on.

Devo If you use Google Chrome, there is a fix for the photo issue. Here is link for the add in: https://chrome.google.co...tegory/extensions?hl=en
If not, I have a copy of these photos and can send them to you if you like. HKM
