Just wondering whether the inner/outer tie rod ends are reasonably easy DIY (I know to get an alignment after)? Also, can you tighten the front hubs like on older cars?

Hi Guys.

Yes, they are relatively easy, if you're careful.

I own a P/Steer rebuild shop & I see a lot of racks come in, where the owner has replaced the rack end, but in doing so has damaged the surface of the main shaft. This shaft has to run past

Hi again.

I forgot to answer the 2nd question about the hubs.

The front bearing/hub arrangement is the same on all Holdens from mid-FE to VP (including 6 & V8 Toranas). The bearings themselves are even the same part no.

It's best to remove the hu
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thankyou Dr Terry. The second one I checked out (the one I'm thinking of buying) has a split rack boot on the right hand side which is covered in leaking fluid. I thought it could just be the usual hose leak leaking down but now that you mention rack leak
