Our VY continues to overheat when there is any load, i.e. towing a trailer.

The pretty basic things like radiator blokages, thermostat replaced etc. haven't solved the problem.

Someone suggested it maybe the water pump.

Can anyone here have any ideas on what the problem might be and how to solve it.

Any help with this would be very helpful.

My daughters vy was doing something similar. Had us stumped. Turns out the bottom radiator hose was collapsing due to age. They used to have a spring in then to stop this happening but cost cutting has generally put an end to that. So that may be worth checking out. Cheers

They have a bleeder valve have you done that.

had the same thing happen in our vt,ended up being that the impeller fins of the water pump had completely rust away
