Hi HK Here is the link to the reply to my post if that helps track the issue: http://www.fastlane.com....ry-diff.aspx#post170301
If your post counter is missing a few numbers then there is something odd occurring.

I can't do anything with the forum, all I can do is moderate which is suspend people or move posts. |

OK, in short I think I said: It would make sense if GM made a 'standard configuration' axle housing and adapted it for specific models/configurations. I had wondered what the fitting on the tube was for and now we know. Mine has the angled bracket but I took it off to clean and paint. Mine is an LSD with an Auburn 3.36 centre. Here is a photo of the diff test fitted back to the car. You can see the mounting point for the flexible hose to diff- I know I have left off the angled bracket at the top of the housing in this shot as well-doh! AND, as was noted, I have the plate on upside down- it was only a test remember. The last part was about the Auburn centre and when taking it apart finding one of the spring retainer plates was busted. As shown here: Now, these are tricky buggers to find replacements for but I have a few shops looking for me. Craft Diffs included and I know GM gave a few other options but can't recall who they were now.
