The radiator on the VZ (V6 auto) crapped it self yesterday. So much for a camping weekend! Any recommendations for a replacement? And any tips on the R & R and fill? It looks simple enough, auto cooler hoses, two radiator hoses, the fan loom and it lifts out.
Thanks for all responses, Chris |

i got one from ebay 4 years ago for the vt, for i think it was $109 including postage, works great still going strong.
you have the r & r fairly spot on.when refilling i cut the bottom off a 1.25l drink bottle, wrap some electrical tape around where the cap goes one so it is a tight fit in the radiator neck & fill it through there.this puts your filling point higher than the thermostat & bleeds the air out as you`re filling.when it`s full start the car & let it idle, keep adding coolant until full
cheers jason

I changed the radiator in my VZ V8 recently and the AC condenser is attached to the radiator in the same way the engine fan is, so youo have to lift it off the radiator before you can remove the radiator. If the V6 is the same good luck.
I removed the little "tabs" on the condenser as I could not lift it free with all the lines connected. When re assembling one of the screws went through a condenser pipe so I was up for a new condenser, drier and regass.

Thanks gents. I found a local supplier, all fitted, filled, and best of all, no coolant on the garage floor. |
