Was just reading survivor cars magazine best barn finds volume 2 and a bloke bought a 327hk gts with 44000 miles on the clock of an old farmer Silver mink with a vinyl roof What a beauty , article didn't say how much he got it for-no doubt got it cheap Unusual that is was a top spec car but was sold with standard kingswood rims and hubcaps. Hopefully it's in a museum now If so where, I want to see it Edited by user Wednesday, 22 February 2017 2:14:22 PM(UTC)

If it's the same car it came to live near me for a while. He cleaned it up a bit but sold it on to concentrate on 2 x A9X's. I told him to sell the A9X crap and keep the GTS327! |

The A9X hatch is a special car, probably the best A9X to actually own if you had to choose any one car, and he'd had the sedan for years. The owner's problem with the HK was it wasn't pristine as it was a Survivor. He wanted to fix it, as in repaint it. Many convinced him to leave it alone and he eventually sold it. I do get it, a Survivor is the hardest of all to own, as there isn't much scope to do anything or you lose the Survivor tag from the car. |

The car first surface around 2001, just as the price started to move. They were asking $25k but at the time the best offer I could find for them was $17k.
The car had no books, was full of bull dust, had been "pushed" by something in the rear and creased both 1/4 panels.
Next time I saw it the 1/4 panels had been "repaired" (but not well) given a clean and the asking price increased.
It has changed hands a few times and one of the owners was very disappointed with it, only owning it for a few months.

Might not be the car I know of as it didn't have any quarter damage. Had a dent in the LH font guard though. This one was a 2nd type. |
