Where abouts is the ignition module placed on VT 5lt? I assumed it was on the passenger strut tower like earlier models however a friend who is trying to solve a "no spark" problem on one is saying it isn't there and he cannot find it anywhere. If anyone has a pic that would be brilliant..

It's bolted to the side of the plastic airbox (lower half). Pain to get to - you need to remove the box to get at it.
You can still pour cold water over it to check for any thermal issues causing an intermittent no-spark fault when hot (this trick actually got me home one day - stopping every 2km or so for another dousing). |
