Hello my name is Sidney i own a ford XP deluxe sedan 1964. In it sits a 250 pre cross flow from an XB it also has a gas conversion. What i need is a good idea of what i need to make it cross flow and add a 2v head on it (if anyone has one for sale please tell me about it).I also have a c4 auto in it and would like to do abit to that. And for further down the track i need a front bench seat too.

ok a pre x-flow is a non crossflow design,even the 250 2v head for them is a non x-flow design (both the exhaust and inlet manifol are on the same side).a crossflow head will not fit your engine due to it having a wider block.a 250 2v head is a great head

Hi Sidney, I don't want to sound like a complete heretic here but have you thought about purchasing a damaged EB or similar from the auctions and slotting in the 4 litre and trans out of that? It could potentially offer some serious power compared to mes

Hey its me again. im only a novice in this subject matters so when u speak to me please elaborate especially with parts etc...what exactly do u mean 6pak? And so in short it means that i cant get a 2valve head for my 250 pre cross flow? how do i make it a

The 2v head is only different in that the inlet ports are larger, the exhaust valve is slightly larger, and the inlet manifold is a whole lot more efficient in allowing air to get into the cylinders. The standard head still has 2valves per cylinder.

The 2V basically stands for 2 Venturi (as in twin barrel carby. 4V is not 4 valve but Yep you guessed it 4 barrel or venturi) As already stated, these 2V heads also had larger valves and instead of an integrally cast inlet manifold, it has a separate one.

THE BEST OPTION IN MY OPNION THAT WOULDN'T SEND YA BROKE WOULD BE TO GET A 250 2V CROSS FLOW OUT OF AN XE TO XF AND FOR A LITTLE BIT EXTRA YOU COULD BOLT AN EFI ON (XF). THESE ENGINES ARE NOT VERY HARD TO FIND (I HAVE 8) AND ARN'T THAT TRICKY TO SWAP.

i have a 2v 250 in my xy. and have put thought into other engines but the 2v is rare (400 was one count) and it's pre-emissions meaning you have more options to play with.

sad news is that it's getting a bit tired andi was wondering if there is anybook
