If Sydney 307 engine numbers started at 10000, am l right in thinking that the 1st engine would have been 10000 and the 2nd 10001 and so on.
Is engine number 1951k on oldholden missing either a number from the start or the end. If its from the start could that make it from any of
the assembly plants. Cheers Bazza.

1951 could be an Acacia Ridge 307. It really should be 30701951 but may not be. I have also seen them with part of the Aussie bit stamped before the engine assembly plant number and some after, so could appear like 3071951 K0716 8, however I doubt it as I don't think Pagewood numbers reached 19500 wrt 307. Yes that would be a Brisbane engine, I also do not think the Sydney plant would have made nearly 20k Chev powered HK to HTs.
Registration figures show 17165 307 powered Holdens being registered, but then add export and 327/350 engines.

I agree with Warren, in fact I doubt if Pagewood even made it to 20,000 numbers in HG. Remember HG was only about 450 350ci engines in total of which Pagewood would have done maybe 40%. Edited by user Wednesday, 10 October 2018 5:45:59 AM(UTC)
