The HK parts amendment document and the December 68 engineering parts list also confirms your numbers. * Pulley 2806231 was superseded by 2808198 * Fan 7430410 was superseded by 2808199 * Generator assembly 2806635 (diode rectified) was superseded by 2808366 Heres my 2808199 fan with 199 stamped on it and pulley 2808198

What colour should the belt pulley on the type 2 alternator be. Im guessing black phosphate like the harmonic balancer pulley and the water pump pulley. Can anyone confirm as i was told today that they should be gold .

Cant say for sure, I had a look at as many as I could at the 2018 Monaro nationals in Tasy and its just hard to say. The unrestored cars were difficult to see due to age, dirt etc. The restored cars were mostly silver coloured plating like cadmium. The pulleys fitted back in the day would have been produced in Australia at a guess, similar to the 3in pulleys used later on the XU1's, these were black from what I have read.
