An Olds 350 and TH400 if you want to confuse people! Would look odd under the bonnet of a HK-HZ. https://www.gumtree.com....smobile-chev/1207914815
These were even made as option L34 in a 4BBL version. Although branded as an Olds engine they were made by Pontiac and also used on Cadillacs. |

Lots of people wanted 351C's and they re basically a big block! Get it registered with a 350 and then turn it into a 455..... |

2 bloody grand? No way. From the look of the TH 400 case, and the rust on the pulley grooves, its been sitting outside for a while. And the oil stain on the left bank makes me wonder if it wasn't leaning over that way. One of the last Oldsmobile 350s too. |
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right. |

Look at a 351 Cleveland and then look at the 390, 429, 460 they are much bigger. 350 Olds to hot such up would cost to much, can you just toss in a 455 crank and rods to that block.

True, but Cleveland heads are the size of a BBC, just smaller ports.
The Olds engines are like Windsors I think, the bigger ones have a tall deck. From memory the 425ci is the gun engine. Bit like a Hemi, 426 is the gun not the bigger 440.
Those later 350 Olds aren’t as good as the older ones. |

Olds engines can make really good power and gobs of low to midrange torque with the right combination of parts... you just can't turn them more than 5500 to 6000 RPMS and expect them to survive.....A properly built olds engine will hold its own against any Chevy or Ford....
