hi guys I have a lc torana 2-dr I think its an s-pac with 82311C L1 77242, it has indy orange as paint code and 40F trim, I thought only the gtr came with indy orange paint or could you specially order it, thanks..

S, not S-pac. The availability of colours is really only limited to Stock order vehicles. As a Retail or Dealer or Fleet order you could order whatever colour you wanted within reason, as long as the dealer was prepared to do it for you and it got past the zone office or later the central order processing dept. The car in question L177242 was completed on 31/5/70 and the sale date is 5/70 so it is an internal car, shows the dealer code masked (000M) so it will have been used for something within GMH. May be an Employee wanting an Indy Orange S thus avoiding high Insurance attracted by a GTR, or it could be something else, but it is I think a 2600 3spd with 3.08 rear axle so nothing that flash. Look around for 1970 motor show pictures and see if there is an orange LC S....

ok thanks your a wealth of information and I appreciate your reply... but sure your not talking 1971.. got a guy with a car who has a body number 445 numbers earlier delivered 5th of 71 on his original books.. thanks..

Has to be 1971, I wasn't looking hard enough at the year just the month.
