hi , just a quick Q? had a bit of surging in the old 202 the past week or so & decided to hav a play today ! it feels like lack of fuel!
took the glass bowl off the fuel pump & cleaned the crap out & blew out my fuel filter , took the drain out of the carb & emptied that out ! then took the air filter off & coughed the carby a few times & everything seemed fine ! took it for a drive & the surging was still there "but its very intermitent " maybe every 10 km's or so just putten around , but if i give it some its more consistent !
so i looked at the flow into the fuel pump & the glass bowl is completly full , but the flow into the fuel filter is just a tiny dribble that keeps the filter with say a millimeter of fuel in it at idle !
Should there be more fuel flowing from the pump to the fuel filter ?
Regards: Gav

do you have hq gts stuff 4 me ?????

Hi Gav,

The fact that it idles OK, and does 10K or so, I would look at the carb. It maybe a dirty float needle, or a float issue. Possibly dirty jets but you dont say what sort of carb. Maybe even fuel delivery. Put a kit thru the carb and clean it up

I have a single throat stromy on another piece of junk in my garage. On this carby, underneath the float chamber is a drain plug that can be accessed by a stubby slotted screwdriver. Also there is the main jet adjustment which is the main screw plus lock
