I picked up a pair of original 1960's Ansen Sprint 15x10 rims on the weekend. They need a really good clean up and polish. Anyone know of someone in NSW that does this? They no longer have any shine, gone grey. Corrosion isn't that bad and anything will come out with wet and dry. I used Ali Brite on them, washed off and de-activated with baking soda before washing, drying and coating with WD40.
I doubt I'll ever use them on anything, probably will just hang on the wall as a nostalgic display. They may well be magnesium as well. They are cast with pockets to be drilled from behind in 5 x 4.75" (GM) or 5 x 4.5" (Ford/Chrysler). These are GM and came off a 1969 Camaro.
This is the modern version of them: https://www.socalcustomwheels.com/vna69-ansen-sprint-polished-4-lug-w-11049.htm
Here is a 1969 Chevelle with what looks like 7's and 8.5's: https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0117-269465/1969-chevrolet-yenko-chevelle/
I have a pair of 15x8.5 Ansens as well but they are a different looking rim, I think they might be Ansen Gassers.
