I was wondering if anyone could assist me. The HK HT HG Parts catalogues list the seat bolts for bucket seats in the Commercial vehicles as being considerably longer than the standard 2" outer and 3/4" inner. I know the runners and floor pan are the same so I was curious as to why the bolts are much longer. They are listed as being 2 3/4" outer and 1 1/2" inner.

Are the runners used for 'fixed-back' buckets the same as reclining or folding buckets ?

All 3 catalogues list the bolts for fixed-back buckets as being 1/2-inch longer than the others.

Going by that the runners on these particular seats must be 1/2-inch thicker.

The strange part is that the HG catalogue list these seats in van & ute as being 1/4-inch longer again. That one I can't answer.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Yes, all bucket seat runners in HK-HG are exactly the same.

They didn't install the bucket seat spacers as standard in the ute/van did they?

All vehicles fitted with the fixed back buckets had the spacers as standard fitment and required 1 1/4ā€ inner and 2 1/2ā€ outers.

The spacers were optional in coupe.

Commercials only got the fixed back bucket when that option was selected. If the spacers required bolts that were half an inch longer, Iā€™m wondering why the parts catalogues list bolts that are 3/4ā€ longer.
