Any suggestions of an easy to use (and hopefully relatively inexpensive) website development tool/software? I want to setup a website with a store in it and have a checkout with postage/freight and PayPal payment. It is for my business, and I have a heap of surplus old stock industrial electrical gear to move on out of my shed. |

Go daddy. Not sure if it's just a case of advertising works, but my neighbour just set up his new business and said it was easy

Thanks mate. I will look further at them. On first glance they look like they want to host the site, but all I need is a development tool. |

This site gives a good overview of what's available: https://www.sitebuilderr...om/free-website-builders - most free website building programs come with a catch - usually tied into hosting, and domain ownership. Check out your current hosting though - many hosts offer free website building tools inclusive in your annual hosting deal, and they're all online, on the server space allocated to you. One of the hosts I use offers 4 different programs (all free) and ecommerce links - all for free, all under your own domain - not some sub-domain linked to the free builder. Thanks Mick, i'll have a look there.
I also saw Adobe have some tools. I have Creative Cloud for Photoshop, so it may only be a few $ more to get the Website tool. |

I know this thread is old, so sorry for bumping. I hope the OP has already created a site, but still, I want to add my two cents :) I was in the same boat and needed a website. Being on a budget, I chose Wix. This web builder has great options and offers a wide choice of beautiful templates. Moreover, it is easy-to-use, so I coped with this work by myself. Of course, there exist other good and free website builders like Weebly, Ucraft, Site123, Mozello, WebNode, etc. What helped to make the right choice was a review https://www.webbuildersguide.com/free-website-builders/. It provided me with all the necessary details, including pros and cons, so I could compare the web builders and choose a proper one. Hopefully, this source will be helpful for someone else.
