Just reading in the latest Aussy muscle car magazine, "Immortals". The Beechey HT was fully restored , but when they show a interior picture of the original car it has the Belmont/Kingswood/base Monaro , centre trim in the dashboard. The new picture shows what looks like a made up GTS type wood grain filler in the centre dash . All the time and money spent on this restoration to miss a detail like this seems amazing! . Thanks Mark. |

Restoring racecars is always difficult. Are you restoring it to the way it was built to race Day 1 ? Are you re-creating it to appear as it was at it peak of popularity ? When was this "original" picture taken ? The Beechey Monaro has had several owners & probably more rebuilds, but given the fact that it was a true GTS350 when it left the factory, you can only assume that the GTS type centre dash trim (wood trim) would be correct. This is unless Norm changed it to the black Kingwood style very early in the piece. Dr Terry Edited by user Monday, 29 July 2019 4:46:49 PM(UTC)

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
