Ok which is better the single or dual plain V8 manifold for street use? I have had 50/50 responses from the people Iv spoken to, what do you guys/gals think? Also what make do you feel is the best? |

If the engine is standard, or very near to it, a dual plane is the better manifold for everyday street use. Single planes only come into their own if the engine specs have been altered so that maximum/optimum performance occurs high up in the rev range.

It depends on how you want to drive it, and what you want out of it. My HQ ute with 400SBC was originally purchased configured for street / strip duties (dump pipes, big cam, and single plane Holley manifold). It would really turn on the excitement at |

Thanks guys, Im keen on the edelbrocks and was pritty sure dual plane was the way to go. What Im putting it on is a 1978 K20 4x4 chev running a 400 with th400 on straight gas, smog heads, 100 k's is is 2800 rpm and does highway work towing a car trailer. |
