Can anyone tell me the position (which holes) the gearbox cross member for a HG 186S monaro.

If you are fitting (or dummy fitting) the engine and gearbox as one unit (slips in nice and easy with grill and radiator removed on the HG) just mount the gearbox crossmember to the gearbox first and it will become obvious which hole is right once engine mounts are in their proper place and you jack the rear of the gearbox up into position.

That sounds like a better idea, the car is apart so it will go in easy without all the front on and save guessing.

If that does not work, any HT/G six cylinder with auto or 3 speed use the same holes, it is only 4 speed that might be different.
