CHRISTMAS 2021

2020 was a year we’d rather leave behind.
But this year just repeated what we didn’t want to find.

More of what we had last year is more than some can take.
And with the vaccine in your arm life’s coming back to make.

To make the life that you desire know where you want to be.
Then place a picture on the wall of what you want to see.

Whether it’s a great big house with media room and pool.
A garage with a classic car and bar for all to drool.

A ‘she shed’ for the girls to offer wisdom and advice.
To any girl who’d listen while partaking of their ‘vice’.

But think about the ones who didn’t make it through this year.
Or even further back than that I know I’ll shed a tear.

There’s Mum and Dad, my Sister, Uncles, Aunties, Grandad true.
I didn’t meet my Grandma and my Father’s Parents too.

Think of those you care about and hug them if you can.
Because you’ll never know my friend what comes with Covid’s Plan.

I write a Poem every year for Christmas along with Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, as well as Weddings and Birthdays for friends and relations. I also released a book a couple of years ago and gave almost all of them away for free. I will have to do a second print run.
Anyway I hope you have had a great Christmas day.
Cheers,
Ron

I'm late for the party, but I congratulate everyone. I do hope this year will be better than the previous one. Unfortunately, I didn't have those holidays as I planned as I caught Covid right before Christmas. So, I spent them in bed with a fever. Fortunately, my case is mild and I'm glad that I'm double vaxxed, though I haven't got a booster yet. Now I'm much better, drink lots of water, take vitamins (according to the online pharmacy sites, they might help to boost my immunity), but still, I get tired pretty fast. I wish everyone all the best and I hope this year the pandemic will finally end.
