all car versions are hi comp ..which did change a bit over the years due to various ADRs
but
the truck versions are the ones to avoid, all low comp !

I believe that the 253 low compression was a dished piston in all and the Bedford Truck.

It was only the Bedford Truck with the big 308 that got the low comp heads castings. Rare as hens teeth.
