I have a customer restoring his 1968 HK Premier sedan. It’s painted in Burgundy Maroon and it has 12U Yulunga Maroon with Gretyl cloth trim.

The paint code on the ID tag is 587-10099 which is a metallic. I have Burgundy Maroon listed as 585- 10686 which is a solid colour. I can’t seem to find 10099 listed anywhere. Is it possible it was painted in a special order colour? It’s a 5 litre loaded with recliners, AC and fast glass. He did say it was an Eagers display vehicle for the release of the HK model. It’s an early Acacia Ridge build HK00588B

Any help will be much appreciated. It’s about to be painted.

I could not find 587-10099 in any of my collected literature either, but 585-(10686) is definitely Burgundy METALLIC (not solid) as listed in multiple versions of Dulon paint chart scans I have.

Dr Terry
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

10099 is Burgundy Metallic. It’s a 1967 colour, HR most likely but may be Chevy or Pontiac. It’s a Group3 metallic.
Burgundy Metallic changes code for 1968 to 10686, the formula is very different but it’s still a Group3.
