I found an old newspaper advert for LH Plus -4 and it says 336 will be produced (GMNZ) This seems a strange number ? maybe the CKD packs were 12 items , 12 x 28 =336 ? Thanks Mark.

As far as I am aware a CKD pack was actually two packs for each car. A body pack (from Woodville) and a mechanical pack (from Fisherman's Bend). So if there was 336 cars there would be 672 CKD packs. That is how all cars were sent to each BAP and VAP regardless of where they were. If you look at old images of VAP and BAP locations you can see the crates stacked outside. Google Pagwood GMH plant and you'll eventually find images of outside.
