Does anyone know of a place that can recondition seatbelts.

For the sake of originality I don't wish to replace my original HQ SS seat belts with inertia reels.

What I am after is a company that will replace the webbing on my original belts and use the original buckles, hangers etc.

Thanks in advance

Darren

I also know that www.fomoco.com.au offer this service for Fords so I presume they contract this work out and maybe they will

I think you'll find it hard to find someone to replace the webbing... the litigation hassles make it very expensive to guarantee their repair of your seatbelts still meets the safety requirements... what if you have a crash and their webbing stitching fai

There was a HK Brougham in a Classic Cars magazine last year, and the owner had the seatbealts done at a place that supplies aviation belts. May be worth looking into.

Thanks GTS. I work in the aircraft industry and had considered that option as I know they have to be licensed to work on any type of harness. It doesn't matter if it is for abseiling, parachuting etc, they need to have a licence. None of our aircraft u

It is good to have your the look of your original belts, but as mentioned it becomes a safety and Insurance factor if something goes wrong.I guess you have to weigh it up against all costs.Unfortunately there are different regulations for each state that c

I'vce done my own, I'm a sailmaker by trade & am sure if anything breaks it wont be my work. Nonetheless I wouldn't do anyone lese's for legal reasons... not that I've ever heard of there being a licensing system.

Hi RedMan,

I'm an Aircraft Avionics Technician by trade so I'd be flat out sewing up a hole in one of my socks.
However, I know several people who are aircraft life support fitters and they repair aircraft harnesses, parachute harnesses etc.
They all

Hi Munromad2004 - not sure if you've found a solution yet or not, but I'm the one with the HK Brougham that was featured in Australian Classic Car, that someone in the forum mentioned - I got my seatbelts re-done by Graham at Seatbelt Solutions in WA 0893

G'day if you get ahold of Paul or Barry from "Harrisons early holden spares" they can get pretty much anything you need redone to standard specs for you.

If a man say's something in the woods and there is no women around, is he still wrong?
