G'day Guys
I spat a timing chain in my "new" 79 F100 351 Clevo
All the Ford V8s I've worked with have been DFV\DFR's and they have timing gears and if you strip one of them you are in a complete rebuild situation.
My question is. Have I bent any valves punched holes in pistons etc.
I belive the motor is stock but with a Holley and extractors no big valves or cam.(obviously the carb and exhaust make no difference in this situation)

Thanks

If you are lucky? No. Clevo's when standard have plenty of piston to valve clearance.

Thanks XB 351
Have repaced timing chain and sprockets and all seems OK.
Now all I have to do is work out how to keep the inside rear wheel on the road whilst going around
roundabouts.
