HOW DOES THE AUCTION WORK
We have created a system that rewards members for their loyalty using a basic point system. Since the New Fast Lane Forum was developed in late 2004 members have been earning points:

- Posting a New Topic = 2 Points
- Replying to an Existing Topic = 5 points

Using these points, members can place bids for auction items placed on FastLane at various times. The winner will be the member with the highest bid at the specified auction closing time.

- Members can not swap points between members.
- Points can not be exchanged for money.
- Auction & Points terms may change from time to time if needed.
- Any one found abusing the system will have all their points removed.
- The FastLane Administrators say is final on all matters regarding the online auction and points.

If you have any questions or problems with this system please contact [email protected]

Will the current & future auctions include shipping or is that a cost the winner has to bare?

Kevin

I pay for all the shipping of the current and future Auctions.

Unless of course you are offering to flip the bill for me Kevin? :-)

Hi 70 ute,

The bidding system still isnt working 100% the way i want, which means that it doesnt work eerytime youll have to be patient with it and sometimes will need to try a few times to get your bid up. Unfounately I have to wait on the programmers to fix the problem, and they can be a pain sometimes. I hope to have it fixed properly by Monday.

Bear with me guys!

HOW DOES THE AUCTION WORK?
Simple.....
1. Leith puts up a very desirable Thermo box.
2. JohnPerth puts in a very respectable bid.
3. I raise the bid by 50 points
4. Qute puts in an over the top bid that I cant even compete with :-(
5. Qute drives away with the goodies :-(
6. BUGGA!!!!

I need more points...I need more points... I need to become a pointaholic

I dont drive away with the Thermo box until next Tuesday, Bruce... :-))

Anyway, you just got 5 more points...Umm, Errr, Umm but now I do too....

My excuse is that I REALLY wanted the Thermo box for the drive back to Perth from Melbourne via Bathurst and I wasnt going to have Net access for the last 2 days before the Auction ended so the bid was high. Actually, I tried to raise it a bit the next morning (just before leaving Perth for Alice Springs) but it wont let you raise the bid if you are the high bidder....

Better luck next time mate.....Maybe Leith can get another one of these to Auction? I promise not to bid on it if he does....

Cheers...Dave

Actually, that or something similar, is not a bad idea Leith...what about a Biante (or similar) model or a voucher to purchase one?

Maybe one Ford and one Holden model with the winner having their choice of the 2? Just so we dont forget the Ford guys....

Cheers...Dave

Youre better off asking that in the car club forum:
