I was thinking of relocating the battery to the boot of my XB coupe.Is this easy to do or am I better off getting an Auto electrician to do it.What size cable should I use and should it run under the car or through the inside.Is there any benefit apart from cosmetic?

It's a simple job however there are a few issues which may have to be addressed.
Use large cable. See an auto electrician for his recommendations. Remember it is a long cable run and you need large good quality cable in order to limit voltage drop.

when i moved the battery in my XB sedan i used heavy duty industial type electric welder cable .
its about as thick as your finger and has a strong covering. it is also very flexable being made up of very fine strands so is easier to |
old B`s go hard .
new B`s have air. |

35 square millimeter cable is the size you want
Use crimp lugs - solder will cause trouble
Your Auto Elect or Electrician will have the right crimper

i think 35 mil cable would be the minimum size. i would prefer to use 70 mil or at the least 50 mil to handle the voltage drop .
its a long way to be pushing 12 volts when your trying to crank over an angry clevo.
