Gday guys, just picked up a LH/X Torana (havent looked to see which one it is,as it hasn't stopped raining yet!)and I want to change the stud pattern from Torana to HQ/Z stud pattern. As I have never done this a little guidance would be great! I beleive that it is not hard to do but best to ask before jumping in. Thanks for your help !! :-)

Quick spiel on the basics. You need to get expert advice if unfamiliar with brakes. HQ-WB discs (new ones are $85 each). Bolt straight on. You can lower the car by 3/4" by using HQ-WB front stubs or leave the torana ones. UC PBR calipers AND bolts. T Edited by user Monday, 11 July 2005 8:17:32 PM(UTC)

Hi Guys.
Byrons list is close to the money.
If the car already has front disc brakes, your master cylinder will be OK. It's 1" & has the correct back pressure valves. It's the same as HQ/HJ discs.
Byron, why do you say to use HK-HG rear brake ass |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Too many red wines at the time, well actually the night before. I was thinking about the conversion to HG front discs. Yes HQ-WB rear brakes are the way to go. HK-HG are the same backing plate and drum anyway I think - just the stud pattern is different. |
