standard type ratio for most commercials was 3:55 , for a good all rounder a 3:08 will give good take off and good hwy economy or if take off doesn`t matter and hwy fuel does , go for a 2:78 .

I had a WB 1-tonner with a near stock red 202 and M20 with a 3.55 diff. It was OK in 1st and reverse but crappy at 100kph. I converted it to a 3.08 and it was a dog in 1st and reverse. I got so sick of burning clutch that I changed to a trimatic and then |
