after sitting for about 15mins when engine is warm, i start the engine and out of only the drivers side exhaust come one puff of white smoke about as big as a shopping bag. hoping it was a valve guide seal i lifted the cover off and they all look perfect. is there any chance it could be the inlet manifold, or where else should i look?
thanks.

Did you feel the vavlestem seals?? They are supposed to be soft. Most times you find they are hard as concrete and very worn. You'd never be able to tell unless you remove the valvesprings to visually inspect them.

I think it's your valvestem seals

thanks, true i haven't removed the springs but the engine is less that a year old and they are the expensive seals with the rings clips at the top and bottom, the bloody things still look brand new. the reason why i was hoping to find it was the inlet man

I gather they are the teflon ones not the umbrella rubber type? Might even be guides if they weren't replaced. It's really hard to diagnose without seeing things unfortunately. It all a guessing game.
