Hi Guys. I brought a 01 Holden Zafira at an auction and have had a little trouble with it. When started there seems to be a popping type noise coming from under the bonnet. The car drives likes a dream and is smooth. The noise seems to go away when the engine was warmed up. Also when I got the car in Victoria it made no noises what so ever. It's only after I drove it to Tasmania it started, and possibly after it was serviced by motors. Any idea what it could be. It's a 2.2lt 4 cyl eng straight out of a vectra or astra (I can't remember which one). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks scottymyth Edited by user Tuesday, 2 August 2005 7:12:55 PM(UTC)

If it is a genuine pop it maybe be backfiring into the aircleaner. So check the timing, even the ignition lead condition. It was serviced !
