I am trying to get s 1/4" Whitworth socket preferably 3/8" drive.
If you or your grandad has one of these no longer in use I will pay for it.
Also before you knock grandad on the head to thieve his spanner, ask him how to straighten the set on grindstones. I bought one of those big old limestone grindstones to sharpen my chisels etc on, but the poor thing has totally lost its square edge.
How did they square them off in the old days?
Ta.
