Hi all, does anyone have a clue if the starter motor is screeching against the ring gear on release is it too close or too far away? I know there is only a small amount of movement but which way should I go? New starter and ring gear on starfire. This only seems to happen rarely with some engines - what is the cause? Was OK initially but then started screeching after about the first 20 starts. Thanks, Phil
