I have acquired a new set of Hypertectic pistons and was wondering what the general consensus is on them!

They have standard length skirts, not really beefy around the gudgeons, and are definitly flat tops, but i am unsure to their performance standings and quality ratings!

I have been told they are ok, but looking at them, i feel they are a standard piston with a flat top - however i could be wrong! Hence why i have come here to ask the pro's!

Help wanted please!!

AFAIK they are a diferent alloy compared to the standard old cast piston. Lighter and stronger, and able to be used instead of a STD piston, unlike forged pistons which require larger bore clearance.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?

How would you rate them compared with a Duralite piston?? Would you go as far as to say they are a "performance" piston??
