hey. just brought myself a new toy the other day HZ ute 253 4 speed yellow needle GTS dash, full GTS interior, 2 sets of mage. bad for a grand hey.
anyway. the 253 is a real bitch to start. its running a holley (not sure what size) and everytime i wanna start it i have to tip some juice down the carb. it also has a bit of a flat spot down low, but abouve 2 grand it bloody flies!!!!
any info about this would be handy thanx

Sounds like the fuel pump/plunger (not the one in the tank)plungers out of ajustment. When you open the throtle a squart of fuel go's in/dowe the venturie bore to over come the terbulance from idle to main jet running. It should be on your linkages a scre
